Refund and cancellation policy for BibGenie subscriptions, lifetime access, and credits

This Refund Policy explains how BibGenie handles refunds, cancellations, subscriptions, lifetime purchases, and credit purchases.

1. Overview

BibGenie provides digital software access, account features, managed AI access, and usage credits. Because these are digital services delivered immediately after purchase or account activation, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where we approve an exception under this policy.

2. Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the account billing area or Stripe Customer Portal where available.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will generally keep access to paid subscription features until the end of that billing period.

We do not provide prorated refunds for unused time in the current billing period unless required by law or approved as an exception.

3. Lifetime Purchases

Lifetime purchases provide access to the lifetime plan features offered by BibGenie for the product's supported lifetime. Lifetime purchases are digital purchases and are generally non-refundable once access has been delivered.

Lifetime access does not guarantee that every future feature, third-party integration, managed AI provider, model, quota, or credit allocation will remain unchanged forever. Product features, model availability, and third-party services may change over time.

4. Credit Purchases and Included Credits

Credits are a usage measurement for eligible BibGenie services. They are not currency, stored value, cash, or a financial product.

Credit purchases and included plan credits are generally non-refundable once delivered to your account or used. Credits may expire according to the plan or package terms shown at purchase or in the app.

If a clear BibGenie-side technical error causes credits to be incorrectly deducted, contact us and we will investigate. If we confirm the error, we may restore credits or provide another appropriate remedy.

5. Exceptions

We may consider refund exceptions case by case, including:

  • Duplicate charges
  • Billing errors
  • A failed payment flow where access or credits were not delivered
  • A serious technical issue that prevents service delivery and cannot be resolved in a reasonable time
  • Other circumstances required by applicable consumer protection law

Refund approval is not guaranteed. We may ask for information needed to verify the purchase, diagnose the issue, or prevent abuse.

6. Provider and BYOK Costs

If you use your own API key or custom model provider, charges from that provider are your responsibility. BibGenie cannot refund charges billed directly by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter, Ollama-related hosting, or any other third-party provider you choose.

7. How Refunds Are Processed

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method through Stripe. Processing time depends on Stripe, your payment method, and your bank or card issuer, and may take several business days.

8. Chargebacks and Billing Disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us before filing a chargeback so we can investigate. We may suspend or limit access while a chargeback, fraud review, or billing dispute is pending.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version posted at the time of purchase generally applies to that purchase, except where changes are required by law.
