Install BibGenie

Installation

The installation of the BibGenie plugin is the same as installing other Zotero plugins.

First, go to the download page to download the latest version of the BibGenie plugin. The downloaded plugin file is named bibgenie-<version>.xpi, where <version> is the version number.

After downloading, you can begin installation.

First, click Tools -> Plugins in the Zotero main panel to open the Plugin Manager window. As shown below: Then, in the Plugin Manager window, click the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "Install Plugin From File...". As shown below: Then, select the downloaded bibgenie-<version>.xpi file and click Open. As shown below: At this point, the BibGenie plugin installation is complete.

After successful installation, you can see the newly installed BibGenie plugin in the Plugin Manager window. As shown below: Finally, restart Zotero to complete the installation. After restarting, you can see the BibGenie icon in the upper right corner of Zotero, and clicking it will open the BibGenie window. As shown below:

Update

Updating the BibGenie plugin is the same as updating other Zotero plugins. Click Tools -> Plugins in the menu bar to open the Plugin Manager window, and click the BibGenie plugin to see its installation information. As shown below: Set Allow automatic updates to On to enable automatic updates. After that, when a new version is released, BibGenie will automatically update to the latest version.
